After i saw this thread and kyiami post, i dl'd the manual for the noctis seeing as there are no written instructions for the fan controller in the h440 manual.

H440 fan controller. I feel like a total noob. From what i understand the newer model of the h440 has a pwm fan hub that can be connected to the cpu_opt header on the motherboard for control through the cam software. The nzxt h440 (red version).

I'm using a cryorig h7, i'm assuming i'm only going to plug the cooler to 1x cpufan and leave the other one. The fans are a direct replacement and all 3 fit perfectly in the case. I have the new edition of the h440 with the pwm fan hub at the back.

Hey everyone, i'm assembling my first pc ever and have a question about the h440 case can controller. I also have a kracken x61 mounted at the top as suggested by nxzt. I believe the pwm cable connects to a fan controller on your motherboard so it can control the speed of the fans.

All the fans are plugged into the fan hub in the back of the case. I want to be able to control all my fans via bios and currently, the pwm hub isn't showing up in bios despite plugging it into cpu fan 2. So i have a h440 arriving tomorrow and only need to buy a few more bits before building the system.

Make sure you have a fan plugged into fan 1 (i think it's the one that the extension comes attached to)on the hub as well. All other fans in system work correctly. The mobo has 2x cpu fan and 3x system fan.
